Founded over a century ago as the local municipal water utility, today Muscatine Power and Water provides water, electric and communications services to Muscatine and surrounding areas. Each utility was established by a vote of local citizens; Water in 1900, Electric in 1922, and Communications in 1997. Today, MPW is the full service utility provider to hundreds of local businesses and thousands of residents.
